THE PSE-MANILA TIMES EQUITY CHALLENGE OPEN

Today is day-4 of the stock trading game challenge. I was not able to log in on the 1st day simply because ... I forgot! The race went on without me on June 21st and They all started raking in money already while I was whining on my real portfolio's loss.

But I was able to catch up. I logged in the next day, and since I didn't have time to analyze the companies that the tournament allows to buy, I used my monitored companies list from my real portfolio. I started buying continuously but I ended up in a loss. I still did not lose faith. I knew the trend would change anytime. Not too soon, I was expecting it next week.

Wednesday came. For almost two weeks of continuous bear market, a lot of volatile stocks-hungry investors started buying again. The PSEi started moving up drastically. I never thought it would be this soon. But I sold my PAX too early. My trading game portfolio closed at 1.005M. Not bad but I need to really catch up. On the charts, someone was able to make 70K in 3 days. who is ended up on the 1st place. I was nowhere to be found in the top 20.

And now Thursday. As often, but not always, PSEi goes green. So I started buying at the open. Sold few which I thought met its peak for the day. Then bought more of those which were potentially to go up. 95% of my monitored companies closed positive. And finally, my name is up. Let's see where we'll go to tomorrow.

Soften and remove kidney stone

Submitted by Nilda Ivette Rivera RN

If not contraindicated you have nothing to loose. One ounce of fresh grapefruit juice(directly from the fruit) mixed with one teaspoon olive oil (Normal not virgin one). Taken by mouth with empty stomach every morning for SEVEN days (tastes good). Wait like 15 minutes before breakfast. Drink plenty of fluids. I catch a star like stone very small, lot of sand like ones and some soft like cream.

Cleans your kidneys and you don't even notice it, but you will notice the difference. (I'm a retire RN and personally did take one dose only of anti-inflammatory pill like the second day just to help)

Updates on the mauling incident caused by Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr.

If you ever seen the movie Spiderman, you could have remembered the quote "With great power, comes great responsibility". And this applies to all people who definitely have power. Including public officials.

In an incident that happened in Valley Golf and Country Club on December 26, 2008. Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr., mayor of Masiu town in Lanao del Sur, Mauled a father and son, Delfin Dela Paz and his 14 year old son, Bino Dela Paz.

This incident started an outrage from bloggers all over the Philippines calling for the mayor's suspension, and his father's resignation as Department of Agrarian Reform secretary after reading and reposting Bambee's blog about the incident where it involved the beating up twice a 14 year old kid and the drawing out of high powered fire arms from the Pangandamans' side.

On the defense of the Pangandamans, they claim that it was the Dela Paz who started the brawl. But none the less, a mayor beating up a 14 year old kid did not spare the Pangandaman family. This also was very well defended by the VGCC security guard's incident report about seeing the father and son in bloodied condition.

Just days ago, Secretary Nasser Pangandaman Sr. said that the issue is hurting his family because of the bad picture being painted on his name and family and pleaded to the bloggers to stop. He also said that he hopes that being condemned does not happen to the bloggers. In which I think won't happen. I would like to say that I hope his son thought about his actions before he did any especially to the 14 year old kid.

Up to now, there is still no word coming from the mayor and it has been only his father, the DAR secretary, who has been giving public statements about the incident.

Senator Pia Cayetano even shares her sentiments and commented to her friend's blog saying:

Whatever the story is, whatever versions there are, there is no justification for beating up people.. and a child! There is no excuse for such brutality.

No one has the right, not even a public official to take matters into his own hands. In fact, a public official should be the first to maintain peace and order.

Public office is a public trust. And the public officials involved here should make themselves available for investigation
